Which CS2 Cheat Feature Is Better: Aimbot, ESP or Wallhack?
A detailed comparison of Aimbot, ESP and Wallhack for CS2: how they work, what information they provide and how noticeable they can be.

Anyone who has spent time around Counter-Strike 2 has probably heard three terms: Aimbot, ESP and Wallhack. They all promise an advantage, but their mechanics are fundamentally different. What does each feature do, and which type matches a particular play style?
A common mistake is choosing a feature without understanding its purpose. Automated aiming and additional on-screen information affect the game in very different ways.
What Aimbot is and why it can be noticeable
Aimbot is an automated aiming assistance system. Depending on its configuration, it may gently correct crosshair movement or snap directly to a target.
Legitbot — smooth correction
Legitbot attempts to imitate natural movement. Instead of snapping, it gradually helps move the crosshair toward a target. Stronger assistance and sharper paths are easier to notice when a match is reviewed.
Ragebot — maximum automation
Ragebot is designed for immediate targeting and is primarily associated with HvH scenarios. In an ordinary match, this behaviour stands out from natural play and greatly increases the likelihood of sanctions.
Silent Aim — hits without visible crosshair movement
Silent Aim changes hit calculation without the usual visible camera movement. A mismatch between the apparent aim direction and the shot result can also look suspicious.
All automation carries risk. Neither a feature name nor a product being described as private guarantees protection from automated detection, player reports or manual review.
Wallhack: seeing positions through obstacles
Wallhack displays player models through walls and other obstacles. It does not aim automatically: the user receives positional information but still has to aim, control recoil and make decisions.
Position data can affect several tactical decisions:
- anticipating the direction of an attack;
- predicting enemy movement;
- choosing when to change position;
- judging whether an exposed area is safe to cross.
This is why some players consider visual information more useful than automated aiming: it does not perform the action, but it changes how the map is understood.
ESP: positions plus additional data
ESP (Extra Sensory Perception) is an expanded information layer. In addition to a silhouette behind an obstacle, it can show:
- enemy health and armour;
- equipped weapon and ammunition;
- distance to the target;
- player nickname;
- view direction;
- states such as being flashed or standing in smoke.
Some ESP variants also display the bomb, dropped weapons and grenades, or visualise the source of footsteps and gunfire. Modern products usually allow individual elements to be disabled so the screen remains readable.
The main difference from a basic Wallhack is detail. Health, equipment and distance add context before an engagement, although too many elements can clutter the display.
Feature comparison
| Feature | What it does | Visibility | Risk | Typical use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Aimbot (Legit) | Smoothly corrects aiming | Medium; configuration matters | Medium | Subtle shooting assistance |
| Aimbot (Rage) | Targets opponents immediately | Very high | Very high | Primarily HvH |
| Wallhack | Displays positions through walls | Depends on player behaviour | Medium | Positional information with less clutter |
| ESP | Displays positions and extra data | Depends on behaviour and settings | Medium | Detailed situational information |
Summary: how to choose
Aimbot directly assists aiming but has a greater effect on visible behaviour. Wallhack is limited to target positions. ESP provides more context, including health, equipment and distance, but needs careful interface configuration.
The choice depends on the goal: shooting assistance, a minimal amount of positional information or a detailed match overview. No feature is completely safe, and obviously unnatural behaviour increases the likelihood of reports and sanctions.
